Owning and maintaining an internet business requires that you have fresh content articles on a regular basis — preferably daily. Articles quench the thirst for information and knowledge that lures your prospects to your site.

So what are your options if you simply hate to write?

First of all, if you just don’t like writing and you don’t want to hire someone to write for you, you can get a lot of free articles online. One place to look is at public domain articles. Copyright infringement is not an issue with public domain articles.

Public domain writings are simply expired copyrights. When a work is originally copyrighted, the copyright only lasts for a specified period of time. If the copyright isn’t extended, usually when an author dies, then it simply expires. Then the writing is placed in the public domain. These are articles or writings that were once published works and so the English and grammar should be very good. You may have to edit them a bit to place your keywords and keyword phrases in the appropriate places. Also, make sure that if you use public domain articles they pertain to your niche topic.

One of the best ways to get fresh content is to allow other websites with a similar niche to submit articles that you post on your site. It’s a common blogging tactic to create “utility posts” which consist of an intro to a post in another blog with a link to it from your blog. Bloggers are simply using good fresh content from other blogs to fulfill their content needs.

Now, you might be thinking — woah, wait a minute, I don’t want to put links to other websites on my site! Well, that’s a little behind the times. That’s exactly what Web 2.0 is all about! Google knows this and is now displaying pages based a great deal on their popularity and link status. Google uses other parts of the website for rankings as well, but remember that social populariaty is of UTMOST importance!

So, begin to share as many links as you can and don’t think you need to keep all those links to yourself.

But, here’s the gold nugget in all of this and why I’m writing to you today. There are also a lot of article sharing services popping up online. I recently joined one and not only do they send my “unique” articles to about 700 sites each time I submit one, but I also subscribe to the service and get as many unique articles each day as I need. And, you don’t have to write articles if you only want to receive articles.

This service is not costly but is well worth the minor fee I pay monthly. As a result, I’m seeing my links increase in Google daily. It’s the best method I know of to help us all trade links and acquire unique articles. I have no problem posting regularly to all of my sites now. It’s up to me to choose what categories of articles I receive, how many are sent each day and whether or not to publish on my website. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to write good articles! If it’s crap, I don’t post it.

And, one more thing I would also like to point out. There are many sites on the Internet that offer Private Label Rights Articles that can published on your site. Some of them are free or have free starter memberships. You can also take credit for writing these articles yourself. If you like, you can rewrite them too. That’s how I wrote this article. I’m pretty good at writing, but the ideas don’t always come quickly. When I start with a PLR article, the ideas flow easier and I don’t have to create all of the original content.

A critical component of your Adwords account is how well you have your Adgroups setup and arranged.

Don’t fall prey to the “rookie” mistake of only creating one or two adgroups per campaign and then stuffing them with hundreds, or thousands, of keywords.

For high-traffic keywords, this could mean one keyword (with the three different match types, broad, phrase and exact) per adgroup, and that’s it!

Never have no more than 15 to 21 keywords per adgroup, even for low traffic keywords!

After you “break out” the keywords into new adgroups, notice how much easier it is to write extremely focused ads, using the keyword(s) as much as possible in the ads.

Your ROI on your Adwords investment will instantly increase, overnight, along with lowering your per click costs and increasing your CTR!

You need to be cautious, because if you don’t provide negative keywords, that keyword phrase “used cars” will show your ad for all of the following searches:

Your ad might even come up when someone searches this cockeyed phrase:

cars used in filming dukes of hazzard

Phrase Matches

Keywords with quote marks on them fall under this category. Such as:

“used cars”

“Japanese used cars”

“used cars for sale”

These will make your ad show in searches that include these terms in this order, without extra words inserted, such as the following:

used cars

old Japanese used cars

used cars for sale chicago

But your ad will not appear in this search:

used police cars

Exact Matches

These keywords are placed with square brackets around them. For example:

[used cars]

[Japanese used cars]

[used cars for sale]

Using exact match means that only the searchers who type in this precise phrase will get to see your ad. The following searches will not see your ad:

used cars chicago

german used cars

old japanese used cars

used cars for sale chicago

used police cars

Remember that if you include negative keywords in your lists, you’ll pull down the number of impressions that your ads get because they’ll show for fewer searches, which means that your CTR will automatically go up. But notice the math of this: If you could pull down your number of impressions by 20 percent, your CTR would improve not by 20 percent, but by 25 percent. Likewise:

If you cut unwanted impressions by 30 percent, your CTR will increase by 42 percent.

If you cut unwanted impressions by 40 percent, your CTR will improve by 67 percent.

If you cut unwanted impressions by 50 percent, your CTR will double.

The click through rate of exact match keywords won’t be affected by Negative keywords, however they will make a difference on your phrase and broad match terms. If you manage your pay per click correctly, there is no way negatives can’t help.
